I decided to write about pampering yourself every once in a while, because I believe that everyone needs to be pampered every now and then, but not everyone knows how . So today my topic is about having the perfect relaxing bath.
Baths are just one of the most relaxing things you can do, you stay away from your social life for a while, take time to think, enjoy the feeling of water on your body, and go to an entire different state of mind.
1-Temperature: Make sure your bathroom is at the right temperature for you so you do not feel uncomfortable inside of the bath and feel like you need to get out too fast. And since I mean having a HOT bath I mean hot water, so I do not recommend your bathroom stay warm because you can start to sweat in the middle of your bath due to the heat
2-Clean your bath before hand. This is something I really hate. Its when I’m already all cuddled down into my bath water and then all of the sudden I realize that there was something in there that shouldn’t be. Be it a bug or hair or whatever I don’t want anything bathing with me . So make sure your bathtub is clean before you start the water.
3-Get the water running. Well this is an obvious step , but make sure you do not over flow your bathtub or put too little water or otherwise your half of you will be out and the other half would be in , which I find uncomfortable.
4-Get your things ready: There are so many essentials to have with you in your bath depending on how you relax, but my recommendations are:
- Bath Gel/Cream: Be sure to get bubbley bath gel or cream and something that smells divine! I LOVE Champney’s Spa Indulgence Collection my favorite is Oriental Opulence Bubble Heaven , they sell these in boots or online.
- Candles: I buy my candles from Bath&Body works, they have some amazing candles that will just relax you to no end. Go to the candle store and shop for them yourself, I would not recomend lighting too many different scented candles otherwise it might make a weird scent in the bathroom. Also be careful where you place the candles you don’t wanna be burning your house down.
- Bath pillow: If you have no place to rest your neck you should get a bath pillow otherwise you will more than likely get a neck ache by the time your out
- Music: Depending on what you like ofcourse, I do not like to play actual music , more of nature sounds they relax me much more than music I bought mine from the Scientific Center it’s called Natural Dreams its a collection of a lot of different sounds
- Towels: Keep your towel close by you so you can get out very easily without looking for one
- Bath salts, or bath oil beads: I lovvvve these they are so much fun to have with you in the bath , they give a great scent to you and they are fun just to watch them move around. Both of these you can find at sefora
5-Hair: Unless you plan on washing your hair afterwards, be sure to tie your hair up or put a shower cap on to relax you do not want your hair to be filled with bubbles and bath soaps
6-Get in!: Now that you have everything ready carefully get in your bathtub and relax! Make sure you have a towel to step out on or a rug anything that will keep you from slipping
7-Get out:When your ready to come out , slowly step out on your rug and pat yourself to get dry, put on some moisturizer or body lotion and spray yourself with body mist. (I recommend Victoria’s secret Dream angel Heavenly , they have an entire collection of shower gel, bath gel, body lotion/cream,spray,perfume and even bath salt!) And go on to do something relaxing like watching a movie, reading a book or just going to bed
